Let's talk about the role and the Team:
Cyara have built an enviable reputation in the CX Assurance space and are continuing to scale. We're now expanding our Melbourne-based team to include a Graduate DevOps Engineer. You’ll be joining an Agile DevOps team participating in developing application pipelines and infrastructure deployments, using several tools while working on other DevOps initiatives. You'll not only get to work and grow your expertise with a team of seasoned DevOps professionals, but you'll have the opportunity to be mentored to help you succeed in your career.

Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:

  • Develop, debug, and maintain scripts used in application pipeline and infrastructure deployment
  • Participate in DevOps chapter catchup meeting
  • Participate in team Agile ceremonies (planning, daily scrum, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Adhere to DevOps best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Adapt to new employment guidelines and Engineering policies and procedures

Let’s talk about your skills/expertise:

  • Demonstrated interest in the DevOps or systems environment
  • Scripting/programming language in one or more of the following areas: Python, Bash, Powershell, Golang, C#, Nodejs
  • An understanding of basic networking and system administration concepts
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the DevOps role in each phase
  • An understanding of Infrastructure & Pipeline as Code concepts
  • Some understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Some understanding of Git and Jira (issue tracking and project management tool)
  • Some understanding of continuous delivery and continuous integration
  • Passionate about learning DevOps best practices, including but not limited to tagging and cost optimizations
  • Able to grasp new concepts quickly and apply new skills effectively
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills - must be fluent in English
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
